Journal Entry 4: October 14 , 1942

World War II has been going on for quite a while. Our Fuhrer Adolph Hitler got us in the war with Britain and France and the other countries involved. Since i fought in WWI I believe that this one is more brutal and devastating than the first one. More countries are involved compared to the number of countries of WWI. I'm the tank commander of my country's military, which is Germany.

Today I've been assigned to command a Tank called the Tiger I in the war. But It's not an ordinary tank, It's a German heavy tank. I was so amazed by It's qualities and design. We used it today in the war and it helped out a lot.I plan to use it in all German battle fronts and independent tank formidable. Writing about the Tiger I amazes me. A tank that weighs twice as other tanks , due to it's substantial thick armor, large main machine gun, great volume of fuel and ammunition storage. It's armor reaches up to 120mm on the man let. The greatest thing about the Tiger I is that it could knock enemy tanks at ranges greater than 1 mile.

Hey baby it's me Shane, I really miss you and the kids. Well I'm doing pretty good just trying to survive out here. It's really different from what I expected it to be, it's brutal, scary, and a lot of deaths. I really be scared out in the battle field. Right now I'm not in war, we just finished a battle with the polish. I'm the commander of our new leader Adolph Hitler's military. Anyway their is one thing we did during the battle of polish. My men captured your cousin who is a polish priest and criticized him for not doing enough on his behalf. I'm so sorry, but I was not informed that they were going to capture him. He was not hurt, but I feel so guilty that I had to inform you.

Here is a list of questions I would like you to answer and do.

1. How are the you and the kids?

2. Are the kids doing good in school?

3. send me a picture of you and the kids.

4.Are you having money issues of any kind?

Journal Entry 3: Poland 1939

Today I stand as a Fuhrerbegleitbattalion commander. Really seeing much of Hitler's work, I'm really amazed. His work is quite impressive, he does not care about anything or any country. Anyway heading back to Berlin due to our defeat of polish. I need to organize a parade for the Fuhrer's victory as soon as I arrive. I'm to take part of Hitler's entourage as a member. Really looking forward to the parade, just going to relax and clear my head of all the horrible deaths I'm responsible for. CANT WAIT !!!!!

I had to intervene with my wife's relative who happens to be a polish priest . Who got arrested during our fight with the polish. I have so much pain in my heart just knowing that my staff criticized my wife's relative, for not doing enough on his behalf. !!! It's so freaking stupid !!! I need to write my wife a letter and explain what we have done to her cousin, because I can't take this guilt no more. It hurts my heart and now I'm crying.... man getting to emotional around my men.

Journal Entry 2.

Monday June 19, 1918
My name is Shane Halladay II,
Really tired and exhausted, I fought many battles and a big world war over the last few years. I've been awarded many awards for my performance in battles. I've gained reputation for great courage, making quick tactical decisions and taking advantage of enemy confusion. During the war in Wurttemberg mountain battalion. I was wounded three times and awarded the Iron Cross; first and second class. Here is a list of the rest of my awards I've earned over the last few years.

1.Prussia's Highest award called the Order of Pour Le Merite.
(for capturing Mount Matajour and its defenders, totaling 150 Italian soldier, 9,000 men and 81 artillery pieces.)

The m0st horrible thing that has happened to my self over all these battles, was when I was captured by Italians. I thought I would not make it out. But in my mind, I kept saying "I'm not afraid". It was so dark and wet, no food to eat, it was terrifying. I was in the room, thinking that these Italians really wanted me dead. A few hours after being captured I made my move and escaped, but the majority of my staff was taken prisoner by the Italians.

Journal Entry 1, Early Life

May 4, 1914
My name is Shane Halladay II,
I really got a lot on my mind, especially with all these war going on. I just don't feel the same. This entry, I fell like writing about my early life in case, I die one day.People would know my life's story.I was born in Heidenheim,45 kilometers ( 28 miles ) from ulm in the kingdom of Worttemberg ( which was then part of the German Empire). My parents baptised me November 17, 1891. i was the second child, son of the protestant head master of the secondary school at Aalon. It makes me want to cry just writing about my early life, those were good times. Anyway continuing my father was named Shane HalladayI ( who I was named after ). I never had a good relationship with my father. He was always so commanding and concerned how I approach myself towards people. Helene Castaing .....my mother on the other hand, I loved and adored. She always understood my ways and i could always trust her with my secrets etc.
At age 14 i wished of becoming an engineer, when I built my first full -scale glider that was able to fly short distances. But as always listening to my father, instead I joined the local 124th Worttemberg Infantry Regiment as an officer cadet in 1910. Then continued to the officer cadet school in Danzig. After a year in school, I graduated and was commissioned as a lieutenant in January 1912.

My life was going great at that time, it even got greater when I met my first wife. I remember it like if it was yesterday. She was 17 years old, her name is Alexandra smith. She was the most beautiful girl I've had ever seen. I still remember that one look I gave her and I knew she was going to be mine. It turned out exactly how I wanted it to be. We got married and had ourselves a son ( Shane Halladay III ). He Became mayor of Stuttgart. Man my early years passed quite happily. But now it's so terrible especially now that I'm fighting in WWI.
